According to features of Chinese students and our school, the courses configuration which combines academic requirements that elite universities have includes diverse international curriculums: AP Courses, A-level Courses, IGCSE, STEM, etc. The curriculums refer to numerous fields, such as Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Economy, Computer Science, Statistics, etc. Moreover, curriculums such as four Compulsory Unified Examination Courses, Fundamental English Courses, Intensive English, TOEFL, IELTS, SAT, ACT Courses, University Guidance Courses, Social Practice Courses, etc. are thoroughly provided for students to fulfill students’ academic needs.
Our Senior High School offers students “appreciation of Chinese traditional culture” course after Unified Examination in order that students could confidently study abroad. Model United Nations (MUN) Union has a competition with secondary school students in America and communicate with outstanding students from all over the world. In this activity, students improve their ability on Speaking, Critical thinking and Teamwork. Furthermore, students manage a Coffee Bar independently so that they could master business skills about sales, market, distribution and management to some extent. Chinese and Foreign teachers facilitate students’ growth
The proportion of teachers’ team, which includes teachers with Master Degree and PhD (80%), oversea returnees (50%) and foreign Teachers (30%), has been set by Our Senior High School and fulfills students’ need, according to practical situation. Thus, this proportion can ensure high quality of teaching level and encourage students to enter an elite university
Process Evaluation
According to students growing process, we fully implement Process Evaluation, which develops students’ potential, triggers students’ motivation. Thus, students can achieve the goal of self-evaluation and peer evaluation. Teachers can analyze students precisely through a variety of data analysis methods, so that teachers can guide and encourage students to optimize students' overall development in a scientific way.
The overall help from experts to apply for elite universities
The college counseling center established by senior high school provides the whole-process guidance for students. Students would be set up a profile, timely recording the growth and progress of students since Grade 10. According to student’s overall ability on different courses, teachers could analyze students’ performance, combine their ideal studying goals and finally help students select an appropriate university to apply for.
