Grand Opening of the Autumn Sports Meeting

In accordance with the concept of “Building an Athletic and Robust Campus”, we inaugurated the 2016-2017 Autumn Sports Meeting on October 13^th.

With the band playing and flags waving, students passed over the platform and entered the sports field while marching in lines.  Different from the previous years, there was a special parade composed of teachers.

After the entrance ceremony, Zhang Xinyue, the Vice President and Secretary of the Student Union delivered an opening speech, followed by President Fan conferring the flag to the representative of volunteers, highlighting the volunteering spirit of selfless service. On top of that, the representatives of volunteers, athletes and judges took turns to swear an oath.

A great event featuring sports competition and team work was about to be initiated. We look forward to the brilliant performance from the participating contestants.
